Hartford HealthCare to Help Honor Vietnam Veterans at Plainville Concert Nov. 17

The US Department of Defense (DOD) together with Hartford HealthCare and with the Plainville Wind Ensemble will honor and thank those who served during and in the Vietnam War. Hartford HealthCare was designated a Commemorative Partner by the DOD to participate in a national effort to correct the injustice of the national reaction to our veterans as they returned home from the Vietnam War.

Together, across America, Commemorative Partners have pledged to host public events to thank and welcome home these veterans. Central CT State University has hosted this annual concert for the public to enjoy patriotic music. This year the theme is “ The Returning Hero” and the Plainville Wind Ensemble will premiere two original pieces of patriotic music and play some old favorites. The concert will be Sunday, November 17 at 2 PM. HHC wishes to honor all our veterans and asks that you and your family join us for this celebration.

If you are a Vietnam veteran that would like to receive the Vietnam 50 Lapel Pin during the ceremony, please complete the attached form and send a copy of your DD 214 to Sherri Vogt, Veterans Liaison HHCAH 1290 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 4B, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
