Hartford HealthCare at Home, in supporting its patient centered goals to enhance and expand its hospice services, has selected its new vice president of hospice.
“I am pleased to announce that Ann M. Olson has joined us as vice president of Hospice for Hartford HealthCare at Home across the state,” said Laurie G. St. John, RN, MSN, vice president, Hartford HealthCare Community Network, Hartford HealthCare at Home. Olson, RN, BSN, MBA, began her role in December at the Hartford HealthCare at Home office at 1290 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield.
Olson, a New Hartford resident, brings more than 30 years of management, strategic planning, business development and leadership experience to Hartford HealthCare at home. She most recently was president and CEO of Visiting Nurses Services of Connecticut. Previously, she was vice president and principal at Qualidigm, a national collaborative healthcare consulting company where she led the home healthcare and hospice consulting services, developing strategic initiatives to improve the quality, safety and cost-effectiveness of healthcare.
Olson serves on the Government Relations Committee at the Connecticut Association for Healthcare at Home and was past secretary for the Associations Board of Directors. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, as well as the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She holds her master’s in business administration from Post University and her bachelor of science in nursing from St. Anselm College.
