The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute announces the hiring of hematologist/oncologist Dr. Pallvi Popli, who begins seeing patients in facilities in Hartford and Willimantic this month.
Dr. Popli comes to Hartford HealthCare from fellowship training at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University, where her focus was on hematology and oncology. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine.
Her areas of interest are lung cancer, breast cancer, benign hematology and colorectal cancer. In 2019, she participated in Rutgers’ global oncology program, traveling to Botswana for a month-long immersion research project that will yield a quick-reference cancer pathways tool for public institutions.
Fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, Dr. Popli is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
