CHH Auxiliary September Artist of the Month Now Showing


The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is featuring the artwork of Nancy Lundberg Vigeant now through early October 2021 in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view and buy the works during regular visiting hours as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Nancy Lundberg Vigeant, a lifelong resident of Thomaston, is a self-taught artist working with oils on canvas. She finds inspiration in nature, architecture, and local history. Nancy loves to create collections of work based on themes with each collection made up of four paintings for each theme. Her completed collections include Thomaston and Litchfield, Country Florals, Maine Collection and a Swedish Collection. Nancy is a member of the Ten 2 One artists and the Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston. The artwork on display at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital are reproduction prints of original oil paintings.

The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fashion show.
