As a Connecticut native and Morris resident, Jim is at home with the changing seasons, and most of his work reflects scenes from his New England surroundings. In 2012, Jim began his art career after taking a class and learning he had a hidden talent, likely acquired from, and inspired by, his mother, who also painted landscapes using watercolors and oils.

His one-of-a-kind paintings often include barns, lighthouses and seascapes in vibrant watercolors You will see his signature mark of three birds in the distance on each and every piece. Jim’s artwork is often seen in libraries and at art shows, church functions and craft fairs throughout the region.

The Auxiliary’s Artist of the Month program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over-200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop and a variety of events, including an annual fashion show.
