Hartford Hospital Named One of America’s 50 Best for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery

The Hartford HealthCare Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital has been named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery by Healthgrades, a resource consumers use to find a hospital or doctor. This distinction puts Hartford Hospital among the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for outpatient orthopedic surgery, reflecting the organization’s dedication to clinical excellence and distinguishing it as one of the nation’s leading hospitals for outpatient orthopedic surgery.

“Hartford Hospital is known nationally for its quality and safety. This recognition further emphasizes the hospital’s commitment to excellence on every level of care,” said Bimal Patel, president of Hartford Hospital and senior vice president of Hartford HealthCare. “I am incredibly proud of the dedication and expertise of our team at the Hartford HealthCare Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital.”

To identify the top-performing hospitals for outpatient orthopedic surgery, Healthgrades analyzed patient outcomes at short-term acute care facilities nationwide that offer critical orthopedic procedures in an outpatient environment, including back and neck surgery, knee replacement, hip replacement, and rotator cuff surgery. Healthgrades’ analysis found that patients treated at hospitals that have been recognized for excellence in outpatient orthopedic surgery have a demonstrably better chance at a smooth recovery than those treated at hospitals that were not recognized by Healthgrades.
