It's been 22 years since I saw this doctor, and I still remember his kindness. An oral surgeon had crushed my nerve, and Dr. Tinklepaugh monitored me through that first year of recovery. Sadly, I never fully healed (not in any way his fault; I wasn't a good repair surgery candidate, either), and I was left with a severe chronic pain condition that has lasted all my adult life. I remember his compassion as he handed me that awful diagnosis every time I run into a new Dr who medically gaslights me or dismisses me, because they don't understand, know how to treat, or have patience for PTTN. Thank you, David, for being, literally, exceptional. In this lifetime of suffering, you have been a beacon of light.
