Did not prepare for my visit. Did not acknowledge me or ask how I was doing. Spent the entire visit being guided by his scribe through the records he said he did nit have. He completely contradicted my surgeon from Mount Sinai and recommend a 6 week course of BCG immunology. When I asked what BCG was, he responded, I don't know. This doctor may have had a bad day, but that day was with me. I fear this doctor

As he rushed into the office, the first statement was, he did not get my records. He did not tell me he was using a scribe. But the scribe, connected by a wireless headphone, corrected him and guiding him to the data in my records the entire visit. The whole visit he was reading my records. He never acknowledging me, never asked me how I was doing, and constantly told me to give him a minute as he read the records, he said he did not have . He concluded that my surgeon from Mount Sinai was completely wrong and I needed BCG treatments. I asked him what BCG was and he responded, 'I don't know'. I know what BCG is. Contacted the patient advocacy line, and it denied everything that happened. This is not a good doctor.

I credit Dr Telsey for saving my life. I was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer in September 2019. I was being treated and scanned every 3 months on chest and 6 months for abdomen. I had a change in frequency of urine. Dr Telsey did a cytology and found a mass in my bladder. It came out of nowhere and was aggressive. Had he not done that, my outcome would not have been good. He has been amazing. He really cares for his patients and he makes sure that you get the care you need. I have had a lot of doctors since my original diagnosis. He is by far the best. I feel very fortunate to have him.
