David Mack, J.D., M.P.H., is the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Hartford HealthCare Corporation. Mr. Mack is responsible for the direction and management of the legal, compliance, risk and claims functions. Mr. Mack also serves as the Secretary to the Hartford HealthCare Board of Directors and its regional Boards.

Mr. Mack has specialized in health care law for over twenty years representing a broad range of providers, including hospitals, health systems and physicians, and clinically integrated networks and life science companies on transactions, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, medical staff, governance, tax exemption and other matters. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Mack served as the Vice President of Legal Affairs for Hartford HealthCare. Before joining Hartford HealthCare, he was a partner in private practice in a large firm where he received the highest rankings for legal knowledge, effectiveness, communication skills, client service and ethical standards. Mr. Mack holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Connecticut Health Center. Mr. Mack has served on various boards and as the Chair of the Health Law and Life Sciences Committee of the American Bar Association, as the Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Health Law Section and as the President of the Connecticut Public Health Association and has presented nationally on various health care law topics. Prior to law school, Mr. Mack managed pharmaceutical research trials for a national research organization after receiving an undergraduate degree in Biology.
